THE CHALLENGE

A number of Hagues clients were asking for, and even demanding, an online facility for placing print orders which would put them in control of the ordering process.

By not providing this functionality to their clients Hague were loosing some bus ines s from new and existing customers. The sales team and the business were suffering real losses as a result. This translated into increasing pressure from management and sales onto IT to get a system in place which would halt this attrition.

“We recognized at a strategic level that we needed to invest in new technology that would keep us ahead of our competitors.” said Graham Wain, MD.

Nathan Wain, Hague’s IT Manager, set about procuring a solution. Whilst looking for a solution to the immediate problem Nathan wanted a solution that would be flexible enough to meet the ever increasing and varying demands from clients.

“Essentially, our clients wanted an online ordering system which would allow them to be in control of the print order process. They wanted a system available 24 hours a day for ordering standard stock items and items they could create themselves from pre-defined templates. They needed the ability to create a new piece of artwork, view and approve it online and then go ahead and order it there and then.” said Nathan.

THE SOLUTION

Having successfully implemented the Bremy system Hague’s customers are now able to create new artwork online from predefined templates. They are able to order these items, together with standard stock items, 24 hours a day which is generating real additional revenues to Hague. “Our clients are delighted with the way they can log into their own branded site and order print any time they wish.” says Emma Walker, Hague Sales. “Hague have seen an increase in monthly online order value”.

Hague now have 56 clients using the online ordering system on a regular basis. Nathan The sales team has an online order system they can be proud of. They also have customer orders arriving direct to their desks via email – delivered from the Bremy system which results in reduced costs of sales. Sales executives now save time by not handling straightforward client orders.

Hague’s studio have an efficient web based means of storing and sharing high resolution files and artworks with their clients and partners which has saved time and made life a lot easier for everyone. New designs are proofed and approved in a fraction of the time previously taken by using the Bremy Internet Proofing tool. Typically, a new design reaches final approval within days now when previously it could take weeks.

Finally, Hague have been able to win additional business which previously would not have been possible. Using the catalogue automation functionality within the Bremy system, Hague can now cost effectively produce wholesale and retail catalogues. By combining the high resolution product images with other product information into a standardized page layout, the Bremy system generates the catalogue artwork in minutes. Conventionally this would take weeks to do.
